Psychic Sylvia Browne in Arizona
As reported by the yumasun.com, psychic Sylvia Browne will make an appearance in Yuma Arizona this weekend at Quechan Casino Resort.
Browne has remained quite active at the ripe age of 73, performing at up to a dozen psychic reading events each month for her fans, and traveling across the country to do so. Sylvia started from humble beginnings over 54 years ago – and wasn’t always quite so well received.
Famed psychic Sylvia Browne remembers feeling waves of both love and fear from mainstream America when she began gazing into the world’s future 54 years ago.
Through her books and TV appearances, Browne quickly earned an impressive following of grateful fans. But the skeptics and debunkers circled just as quickly. All at once she was hailed as both sinner and saint.
But Browne insists she only has time and heart for the concerns of the people helped by her gift. She’s also quick to share credit with the source of that gift: God.
“I never paid any attention to skeptics. I just did my work,” Browne told the Yuma Sun during a recent phone interview. “People always ask me about the skeptics and all that and I just say that if you are doing what God wants you to do, then that’s all you have to worry about.”
And then she tossed out:
“Screw the rest of them.”
Sylvia Browne has come a long way from her beginnings, and become a worldwide sensation due to her appearances on “Montel Williams Show”, and “Larry King Live”.
Browne is best known for her frequent appearances on “The Montel Williams Show” and “Larry King Live,” along with the dozens of books she has written on topics ranging from reincarnation to angels. Several of those books have been New York Times Bestsellers.
Browne gives about 10 live presentations a month, plus psychic readings over the phone and in person. Audience members at the live events are allowed to address Browne, who answers between 200 and 300 questions during each appearance.
The psychic’s local booking falls between appearances on “The Jay Leno Show” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” She’s also going to be playing herself for the second time on “The Young and the Restless.”
Browne has never been afraid to stray away from tough topics and has been known to speak her mind, and what she feels is the truth, and she gets great pleasure out of helping people with their problems.
The subject matter alone of her psychic work amounts to grueling work, whether Browne is being addressed by the parents of a missing child or a murder victim’s loved ones who are looking for answers. But Brown continually points to the inspirational nature of her work, which she insists constantly refuels her mind and soul.
“I’m happy and just joyous. That’s what keeps me going, to see the faces and hear people say ‘If it wasn’t for you, I would have committed suicide.’ That’s what makes it all worth it.”
In addition to her work as a psychic, Browne oversees her own church: Novus Spiritus. Browne describes herself as a Gnostic Christian, stressing the importance of people seeking out their own truth.
“I have eight churches and thousands of study groups, from China to Kenya,” Browne said, adding with a chuckle: “I think I’m the only person who starts a church and tithes in reverse. They don’t give me money. I give it to them.”
The event will be held at the Yuma Arizona Quechan Casino Resort from 8am Saturday, and tickets are now available to see this famous psychic in action.
