Who does Astrology pick as the election winner – will it be four more years of Obama or change with Romney?
The United States presidential election is only days away, but it is so close that it could be anyones race. Expert Astrologers have made several Astrological predictions to help ease the indecisiveness, and give some insight into just who may win the upcoming election between Obama and Romney.
According to a abcnews.go.com article, even Astrologers think the upcoming election may be too close to call.
A survey on politicalastrologyblog.com, a non-partisan astrology blog dedicated to politics, shows 31 top astrologers’ agreeing that President Obama’s astrological chart favors his winning re-election, compared with 14 astrologists’ concluding that Romney’s chart shows he will win.
Three of the astrologers who looked at both men’s charts have refused to predict a winner at all, calling the election “too close to call.”
But one thing on which all the astrologists can agree is that the election is going to be a nail-biter, and we might not know the outcome for days, possibly weeks, after voting ends. Political analysts who’ve looked at polls of likely voters, swing states and early voting say the same thing.
But for astrologists, planet movements are most important, and on Election Day, Nov. 6, at around 6 p.m., something will happen in the universe that has never happened before in the history of U.S. elections. The planet Mercury will stop moving forward and begin moving backward. It’s a process called “Mercury retrograde” that will last about three weeks. Astrologers predict it will wreak havoc on the 2012 election.
Will Mercury in Retrograde throw the communication and documents of the election results into complete turmoil reminiscent of the Bush/Gore days? We will have to wait a few more days to find out.
According to a recent article by the sacbee.com, Indian Astrology makes some very bold Astrological predictions for the upcoming Obama vs Romney US presidential election.
Indian Astrology calculations indicate that the birth horoscopes of both candidates are naturally very strong. Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn and their combinations indicate that Obama has a strong character and has good leadership skills. Saturn gives him the excellent oratory skills where as an exalted moon makes him a popular public figure. Looking at planetary periods(dashas), it can be noted that Obama is under the influence of Saturn-saturn-saturn period which is favourable for him since it is the lord of his ascendant and is currently in Libra its sign of exaltation.
As far as Romney is concerned, a well posited Sun makes him a very strong competitor and an influential politician. Venus’s position in the 9th house of his horoscope boosts his luck factor and a moon-jupiter combination provides him the much needed quality of a favourable mass appeal. Romney is currently passing through the sun-mercury-rahu period. While jupiter’s transit in the ascendant will be beneficial for him, the weak positions and afflictions to mercury and rahu will have a dampening effect on his campaign and will hamper his chances.
Since both Obama and Romney possess very evenly matched birth horoscopes this has been a see-saw battle till now. Hence, the confusion regarding who is ahead will prevail and this election will be very close, highly eventful and extremely controversial in nature. It must also be noted that the eclipses around the USA presidential elections and a retrograde mercury will have a significant impact on the final outcome.
There will also be a difference between the popular vote and the electoral college which in turn can be a major factor in these elections. Hence from an astrological point of view, the planetary periods and transits are slightly more favourable for Obama than Romney thereby giving him an edge over his challenger. It is very likely that Obama may win the elections by a narrow margin through the electoral college.
No matter what happens, Mercury in Retrogade is sure to be a factor in the election as Astrologers from all over the country have already predicted.

2012 Astrology Predictions: 1 in 10 See Mayan Doomsday
A recently released survey from Reuters news found that as many as 1 in 10 people worldwide believe that the world will end in 2012 as predicted by some Astrology Reading interpretations of the Mayan calendar.
The end of the Mayan calendar, which spans about 5,125 years, on December 21, 2012 has sparked interpretations and suggestions that it marks the end of the world.
“Whether they think it will come to an end through the hands of God, or a natural disaster or a political event, whatever the reason, one in seven thinks the end of the world is coming,” said Keren Gottfried, research manager at Ipsos Global Public Affairs which conducted the poll for Reuters.
Many Mayan scholars have disputed that the world will end in 2012; however, as shown by the Reuturs poll there is still a large majority of the public worldwide that sees a doomsday coming in 2012.
