The men had traveled from Florida to Chicago.Officials said a raid of the apartment in which the men were staying uncovered petroleum bombs known as Molotov cocktails, bows and arrows, throwing stars and gas masks. Thousands of people, including protesters, have been in Chicago for days ahead of the two-day NATO Summit that starts Sunday. “These individuals are domestic terrorists who came to Chicago with an anarchist agenda to harm police officers, intimidate citizens and to attack their politically motivated targets,” said Anita Alvarez, a prosecutor.

The FBI sting operation that led to the arrests of five men in an alleged conspiracy to blow up a Cleveland-area bridge involved now-familiar undercover techniques to identify a potentially dangerous terrorist plot. There were hours of secretly taped conversations involving possible targets and methods of attack collected by an FBI informant who had won the confidence of the alleged plotters and later supplied dummy devices that the suspects believed to contain explosives. What sets the alleged Ohio operation apart is its link to self-proclaimed anarchists — with no connections to international terrorist organizations — who believed that members of the ubiquitous Occupy protest movement had not gone far enough to express their displeasure with high-flying corporate America. More recent plots disrupted by the FBI have focused on traditional terrorist targets — military facilities and crowded public places — with the goal of inflicting mass casualties.
According to federal court documents, Wright, Baxter and Hayne allegedly developed the plot over several months before targeting a bridge over Cuyahoga Valley National Park on Monday night. The other two suspects, Stevens and Stafford, are charged as conspirators. Devices that the suspects allegedly believed to contain the powerful explosive C-4 were provided by an FBI employee, a non-agent specializing in undercover operations, who rendered them inoperable. Two devices were placed at the base of a concrete support pillar for the bridge on Monday night, after which an attempt was made to remotely detonate the dummy explosives. The court documents also refer to several conversations secretly recorded by the FBI informant in which Wright and Baxter allegedly sought to limit the number of casualties in favor of inflicting economic loss on corporate targets.

Jason Todd Ready organized a militia in the Arizona desert with the goal of finding illegal immigrants and drug smugglers. The 39-year-old known as “JT” outfitted himself with military fatigues, body armor and gas masks, and carried assault rifles. Police say the four others killed in Wednesday’s shootings in a home in Gilbert include 16-month-old Lily Lynn Mederos, 23-year-old Amber Nieve Mederos, 47-year-old Lisa Lynn Mederos and 24-year-old Jim Franklin Hiott.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrest of Sami Osmakac, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in the former Yugoslavia. He has been charged with one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. FBI agents arrested Osmakac on Saturday after he allegedly bought explosive devices and firearms from an undercover agent.

Jamshid Muhtorov, 35, of Aurora, Colo., who also goes by several other names, was arrested Saturday by members of the FBI’s Denver and Chicago Joint Terrorism Task Forces, the FBI said. Muhtorov was indicted on a charge of providing and attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, the FBI said. The group named is the Islamic Jihad Union.

Terror plot thwarted, man arrested in NYC making bombs – A Muslim convert arrested for allegedly making bombs in New York City was inspired by radical cleric Anwar Awlaki and was allegedly plotting to attack U.S. servicemen and police officers, according to officials.
A five-count criminal complaint against Jose Pimentel of Washington Heights says that Pimentel planned “to build a bomb and use it to assassinate U.S. servicemen and women returning from active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg said during a press conference this evening that Pimentel, an unemployed loner who lives with his mother, also wanted to kill police officers, and called him a “27-year-old al Qaeda sympathizer.”
“We had to act quickly,” New York police commissioner Ray Kelly said, “because he was in fact putting this bomb together.” When arrested, officials say, Pimentel possessed the materials necessary to build a bomb.

Terry and Linda Jamison are twin sisters who say they are so close they share a soul, and also a unique talent: the ability to predict the future.
But in their new book, Psychic Intelligence: Tune In and Discover the Power of Your Intuition ” the sisters, known as the “Psychic Twins,” say they’re not the only ones who have this ability.
“We all have psychic powers,” Linda said today on “Good Morning America.” “We call it psychic intelligence. We all have the power to be psychic.”
In “Psychic Intelligence,” the sisters reveal the methods they use to make their predictions, which have included correctly predicting when Prince William and Kate Middleton would break up, and when the couple would eventually get married.

You may think that because we are identical twins and share the same DNA we’re naturally more telepathic than most. And in fact, we do have twin telepathic experiences on a daily basis. We don’t need BlackBerrys or iPhones to communicate with each other; we use “TwinBerry” mental telepathy.
But according to Guy Lyon Playfair, a researcher of the paranormal and author of Twin Telepathy, only about 30 percent of twins have actually experienced a telepathic connection while the vast majority have no particular psychic bond between them. We, however, were born not only with the ability to communicate psychically with each other, but also with abilities that reach beyond our twinship, which enable us to be reliably psychic for anyone at any time.
In West Chester, the small Pennsylvania farming town where we grew up, no one had ever heard of—much less met—a psychic, and so for a long time neither we nor our family and friends thought much about our abilities.
